StageLab-scale proof of concept

01 · Project facts

Personalised formulation designed around individual therapeutic needs.

PERAMEDIC is developing a stand-alone drug formulation system for locally prepared, individually customised, segmented-release polypills. Its published technology approach combines personal release profiles, in-situ 3D printing of a release matrix and multichannel powder dosing into sealed microcompartments.

02 · Assignment

Turning a personal-adaptive concept into a coherent technology pathway.

The project frames a tabletop pill and capsule printing system around individual dose quantities and release distributions, with clinical settings, pharmacies and medical practices described as future application scenarios.

Release profilesIndividually customised segmented-release formulation.
Matrix printingIn-situ 3D printing with adaptive toolpaths.
Powder dosingMultichannel dosing into sealed microcompartments.

03 · Project context

A technical concept addressing practical formulation constraints.

PersonalisationA single daily pill can combine medication and supplements with individual quantities and release distributions.
Development pathThe first stage is a lab-scale proof-of-concept of the combined novel technologies.
Application horizonClinical settings first, with pharmacy and medical-practice scenarios described for later stages.

Field note

Individual dosing becomes a credible innovation pathway when formulation, delivery and use settings are considered together.
